Essential Sight Vocabulary - Everyday Words

These resources are filled with high interest activities that will assist teachers in developing student sight vocabulary skills. Students need to develop an extensive sight vocabulary to become capable readers. The activities become more complex through the series. Three types of words have been selected for inclusion: 1. words that students are exposed to as part of their daily classroom activity, 2. words that students recognise immediately and are exposed to in written and oral communication, 3. words that occur mainly in written material but are important for developing fluent reading skills.
